Social Technology aimed at promoting the quality of teaching and learning, with special emphasis on literacy in Language and Mathematics (children aged 6 to 8 years old)
Current Status
In 2025, MACETE worked with 14 teachers from two full-time schools in the municipal network of Santa Luzia do Itanhy, Sergipe, through the creation of lesson plans, pedagogical monitoring, and support from facilitators in the application of activities. Throughout the year, 81 students benefited from the project's activities in two villages, Bom Viver and Pedra Furada. In partnership with the Municipal Department of Education, a Syllabus for the Diversified Curricular Components was developed, promoting the alignment of the social technology with the BNCC (National Common Core Curriculum) and other institutional documents, structuring pathways for replication in other locations. Furthermore, a MACETE training course inspired by the Synapse methodology was developed, ensuring that the content implemented in the project is achieved by teachers in full-time education.

Historic
Since 2023, MACETE has been collaboratively developed in Santa Luzia do Itanhy (SE), in partnership with schools, teachers, students, and the local community, under the coordination of The Human Project (THP).
To achieve this, the team adopted a strategy of applying small "activity pills" to the students, to understand how to build multidisciplinary proposals that made sense to them. Awareness meetings were held with the teaching staff of the schools, presenting the project and collectively defining the theme that would be worked on until the end of the school year. From this theme, the construction of lesson plans began with the implementers of the Social Technologies involved: Naturalist Art, PLOC, LuCA, CLOC, Romanceiros do Itanhy, Business Workshop, LiLo, Culture in Focus and SIRi. Three lesson plans were developed with the following main objectives: · To develop community awareness and family ties; · To encourage student leadership and interaction with the territory; · To promote the development of technical and creative skills. In early 2025, MACETE underwent a strategic shift: the focus of actions was directed towards the role of the teacher, who became responsible for conducting lesson plans, based on the alignments made in planning meetings. This movement allowed for an increase in the number of classes using the MACETE methodology, connecting interventions directly to the content worked on in the classroom by teachers. To support this process, specific pedagogical materials were developed, such as: · MACETE Box; · Illustrated and Bilingual Word Bank; · Welcome Roulette. Continuous monitoring of teachers and support in carrying out activities was also strengthened. In the second half of 2025, based on the observed results, the structuring of the process for reapplying the MACETE social technology began, through: · Construction of the Reapplication Guide; · Process Mapping; • Development and implementation of a course using the MACETE methodology. These initiatives consolidated a knowledge base and support tools, ensuring that MACETE can be reapplied in new contexts, maintaining its participatory and territorial essence.
