CRIA
CRIA is more than a Social Technology project — it's a living space for community innovation, where comprehensive education, intergenerational care, and human development intertwine in concrete and transformative ways.
Located in the village of
Pedra Furada, in the rural area of Santa Luzia
do Itanhy/SE, CRIA was founded with a clear
mission: to provide children aged 2 to 3 and their families with a safe, loving, and structured environment that promotes a healthy, dignified, and stimulating childhood.

More than a physical structure, Espaço CRIA is a symbolic space of connection, belonging, and social transformation. Here, childhood is fully respected, youth are protagonists of care, and the community is invited to co-create sustainable solutions for their own future.
Currently, the space has two fully operational modules and plans to implement two more, forming an integrated and sustainable local development proposal:

1. Children's Module
Designed with pedagogical intent and aesthetic sensitivity, the children's module welcomes children from the Escola dos Sonhos Daycare Center into an environment designed to promote comprehensive development—physical, motor, emotional, social, and symbolic.

The facility features adapted furniture, sensory materials, and self-care items that respect each child's pace. The methodological approach, anchored in the Synapse EI approach, is inspired by significant methodologies for comprehensive development, such as Waldorf Education and the principles of anthroposophy, offering experiences that foster autonomy, imagination, and affection.

In this space, every detail serves a formative purpose. Play, care, exploration, and coexistence become meaningful educational practices, mediated by young people from the area—prepared to act as caregivers, role models, and facilitators of child development.
2. Community Module
This module was designed as a center for strengthening bonds and promoting the community's emotional health. It offers integrative practices, wellness activities, and essential services to families in the region, valuing local knowledge and promoting collective care.

Among the activities already underway are Shantala (affectionate massage for babies), discussion groups with families, community workshops, and scheduling of basic public services, such as document updates and health guidance.
More than a meeting place, the community module is a space for repair, belonging, and community mobilization.
In implementation phase
Module
Social Entrepreneurship
Focused on generating income and economic autonomy for women in the community, this module will drive the creation of a social business, with collective management and a focus on the sustainability of the CRIA space itself.
